An LED Lightbox is the perfect way to allow people see the light when you have a message to spread at any conference or trade show, or in any retail or commercial space.
High-quality printed fabric is uniformly illuminated from all sides by powerful LED strips, ensuring that your display really stands out.
Our LED Light Boxes are available in either single-sided or double-sided display formats. They are suitable for use in all indoor environments.
We offer a selection of aluminium profile frames, for both single-sided and double-sided displays. You may choose from our original Edge-Lit Fabric Light Box design, which can be built to any size, or opt for our innovative Easy-Carry Edge-Lit Box, which is even more portable and easier to assemble.
LED Light Box – Lighting variations
There are three different types of LED lighting that may be used to light the fabric, depending on the application:
- High-power Edge Lit LEDs - Strips of high-power LEDs are affixed to the inner edge of the frame. They are powered by a compact 24V power supply, also positioned within the frame. These are typically used on single-sided 120mm and double-sided 100mm profiles, in frames up to 3 metres high.
- Low Profile LEDs - These are used on stabilizer bars in our larger single-sided 120mm deep profile frames, for both long and narrow frames, and for larger frames up to 5 metres high. They are also used in our Lightbox 50 slimline frames.
- LED Curtain - This is an LED array that can be suspended in the centre of double-sided 100mm profile frames, for larger frames up to 5 metres high.
LED Light Box – Lighting levels
Different light levels may be achieved depending on the type and number of LEDs installed. It is vital that the Light Box is fitted with the correct lighting in order to achieve the best visual impact for the printed fabric it will display.
A higher level of lighting will be required when the Light Box is to be installed in areas with relatively high ambient lighting. A higher light level will also be required if the colours of the printed image are relatively dark.
Take the example of a 1000mm x 1500m single-sided Light Box. We can offer this in a number of formats, depending on what the client may require. A number of different options are outlined here, showing the profile types, lighting type, power required (watts), the light level in lumens, and the approximate relative cost:
|Profile||Installed Lighting||Watts||Lumens/m2||Approx. Relative Price|
|120mm Profile||Power LEDs on one 1500mm side||57||3257||1|
|Power LEDs on both 1000mm sides||76||4343||1.23|
|Power LEDs on both 1500mm sides||113||6457||1.5|
|120mm Profile||Bright LEDs on Stabilizer||66||3600||1.2|
|Superbright LEDs on Stabilizer||113||5950||1.4|
|Lightbox 50||Bright LEDs on Diabond back||131||7250||1.6|
|Superbright LEDs on Diabond back||219||11000||2.3|
It is therefore important to understand what light level will be required for any Light Box, and how this level will be achieved, as there is a huge variance in light levels and cost possible for any given size.
Our expert team will guide you through this process by taking all relevant details and advising what would be best for your LED Light Box, based on what the display will be and where it will be installed.
